Mariam is an agency veteran with over 15 years of experience working in creative, media, and digital platforms. She’s currently an Agency Partner at Meta, where she works closely with sales teams and agency leadership to develop strategic partnerships that help drive their businesses. In this role, she also leads the NA Agency DEI Committee managing a taskforce of eight people, developing and leading initiatives across three key pillars- education, talent, and creative. She was also selected to serve on the NA DEI Advisory Board by the VP of Meta’s Global Business Group and founded Meta’s partnership with COOP, an organization that focuses on overcoming underemployment among diverse college grads.
Previously, Mariam was a Group Planning Director at JWT New York, where she worked on a range of brands across categories including CPG, technology, and finance. Mariam started her career in advertising through the American Association of Advertising Agencies’ Multicultural Advertising Internship Program (MAIP) in 2003 and has remained an active alumni and mentor.
She was born and raised in Memphis, TN and graduated from Tulane University in New Orleans. While she spent a lot of time in The South, she considers New York her home. She currently resides in Brooklyn and loves exploring the city, traveling, and spending time with her friends and family.
